Today's Video Share: Hear That Sound by Louise D'Arcy

My name is Louise D'Arcy. I'm a singer songwriter from Australia and this is my very first music video for my song 'Hear That Sound'. We filmed it in my sister's photography studio with help from family and friends of my niece and nephew. The song itself was written in response to all the news stories coming in from overseas regarding gun related deaths and violence so it inspired this song which is essentially a fictional story about a real issue of Gun Culture which influences youth and future generations.

Today's Video Share: Sparks are Flying by Samantha Sargeant

Samantha is a singer from Kingston New Hampshire. I chose her as the one to sing an album that I produced featuring some of the very best songs written by songwriters with exemplary talents. I am going to have the album presented to record labels, after a period of several months where we get some feedback through social media as well as shows Women of Substance Radio. The musicians on this recording are formerly and / or currently in the following bands.....Elton John, Ringo Star, David Lee Roth, En Vogue, Pink, The Pointer Sisters, Paula Abdul......and the mastering was done by a 6 time Grammy award engineer. It is a finished product, a master recording, not a demo. In addition to performing with 2 different bands, Samantha also works days as a horseback riding instructor for kids at Verrill Farms in New Hampshire. She is 28 yrs old, is married, and has a 6 month boy, and she is most definitely a high character individual, and a woman of substance. Physical CD's are available at no charge to anyone. They are promotion only tools. Facebook page is Samantha Sargent. She was 5 months pregnant when we did the video although you can't tell.......we ended the video with a scene that showed a pregnant woman.....not something you would normally see in a music video. But it has "substance" because of it. Thank You.......Lee Gianangelo / Producer

Today's Video Share: Supernatural by Rändi Fay

“Supernatural” is about the surreal chemistry of love and desire, and the intense magic when equally matched. The music was created (by co-writer Aaron Zinsmeister) to support this concept- layering two very natural instruments, the voice and the bass- into a winding, equally “supernatural” arrangement. “The intimacy of Rändi's warm, sensual vocals set in a sophisticated fusion of layered bass create a mesmerizing, memorable song.”

Today's Video Share: Words of Peace by Kyra Shaughnessy

Kyra Shaughnessy is a Quebec-based singer-songwriter and spoken word poet. Paroles de Paix (Words of Peace) is a video shot after the release of her fourth album, Passage, in 2016. The video was inspired by the piece "The Artist is Present" presented by Serbian performance artist Marina Abramovic at the MoMa in 2010. For the video Kyra invited a collection of complete strangers to practice presence through gazing into each others eyes. The lyrics of the song are a prayer to the universe where the artist asks for the strength to stand up for what she believes in, to be a messenger of peace I troubled times. The act of gazing into strangers eyes is, for Kyra, a practice in recognizing our essential interconnectedness, being able to see our reflection in the eyes of others and accepting people as they are...all fundamental aspects of "peacemaking" the world over.

Today's Video Share: Dark Place by Ebony Buckle

I wrote this in last year in response to a woman I heard on the radio, who had called in to chat. They were talking about domestic abuse and how there are many people who don't even realize they are in an abusive relationship. They asked people to call in if they thought that might be them.

A woman called in saying she wasn't sure but her boyfriend made her wear ugly clothes like socks and sandals and tracksuits when they went out. He didn't let her talk to his friends and she wasn't ever allowed to dress herself in dressy clothes as he always chose her outfits for her.
The hosts gently told her that yes, this wasn't normal and that they were going to chat to her off air.

It was for her that I originally wrote this song. The woman who realized that there might be other possibilities outside of her situation. And the idea that the 'Dark Place' inside all of us is actually a wonderful place where we can truly be free. Where we can run with the Wild Women.

When the #MeToo movement happened I felt like I wanted to contribute something and so made a music video for the song. It's for all of the beautiful wild souls out there!
