Today's Video Share: Bon Appetit by Jackie Morris

This charming video shot in The South of France brings back so many cherished memories for me of quaint little towns, cobblestone streets and epic leisurely lunches capped off by decadent dessert! What more is there in life? Jackie says, " it features so much of what I love:  my partner Van and family; friends; fields of sunflowers; and our amazing medieval "hometown" village of Simorre.  Moreover, it is filmed and produced - so beautifully - by Van's son-in-law, Lionel Brouet, who just happens to be a "real-deal" French cinematographer in Paris!  In short, it's what I call "a professional production with all the fun and flavor of a home movie."  This is a perfect description. The song is witty and heart-warming, novelty yet not hokey.  If you've ever been, or wanted to go, to old-world Europe, this will certainly ignite your passion for travel and epicurean delights.

Then it moves into a beautiful acoustic song - Marlin Bar - with footage from both live performances and the studio shot shifting between color and black and white. Today's Video Share: Rock Me Slow by Faith Evans Ruch

In the spirit of legendary female acoustic singer/songwriters like Jewel and Joni Mitchell, the music of Faith Evans Ruch is intimate, vulnerable and saturated with raw emotion.  The simple, personal setting of the song on video helps us enter into her private world of melancholy, questioning and brokenness.  This kind of exposed, unfettered emotion creates a "simpatico", a connection with the artist and the song because we've all been there before and are pulling for her to pull herself out of the pit of sorrow and rise anew. Top that off with a compelling vocal and you have a "must experience moment" captured in this music video.

Today's Video Share: Weightless by Angelica Joni

When you look at the comments beneath this video, you see phrases like "Hot Track" and "Big Hit".  I completely agree. I would be shocked if I didn't start hearing this on mainstream radio soon.  With an Electro Pop sound akin to artists like Zedd and David Guetta, this song has one major advantage over the aforementioned artists - the effortless and charismatic vocals of Angelica Joni.  Her vocal ability displays a true "weightlessness" which of course only adds to the effect of the lyrics - the desire to be so in love that you are on top of the world, or feel lighter than air. The video builds from a serene, beautiful beach setting to a climax of arresting images that revealed my fear of heights.   Watch the video and then go buy the single on iTunes and support this emerging talent.

Today's Video Share: Untitled/Self-Portrait by Miriam Crespo feat. Chris Heath

This quirky, harmonious little duet with Chris Heath and colorful video is sure to brighten your day. “Untitled/Self-Portrait” is the first single on Miriam Crespo’s debut album “in the bones all along” which we've been debuting this week on our New Music Show. The “song with no title” is a wink of a (whimsical) eye, a quirky wordplay and her not too serious calling card. “Some lines in the song are actually true and paint a pretty accurate image of my many peculiarities. I’ll be darned if I tell you which ones, though!” The optimistic portrait of a girl in a random bar that will never go far on high heels gives a snapshot and an impression of Miriam Crespo – but marks her with no label.  And if you really listen to the lyrics, you'll be scratching your head a bit, wondering what some of the lines really mean and if they are a part of Miriam's truth or pure, ear-tingling fantasy.

Today's Video Share: Amnesia by Savannah Stewart

Savannah Stewart is a tremendously talented young artist on the rise. Her melodies are alluring and her vocals capture the intimacy and gravity of her lyrics.  In the wise words of Savannah herself, here's her perspective on the subject matter of "Amnesia": "The mind is so powerful. We can be its' slave or its' master. It would be fantastic to be able to push the Amnesia button sometimes, but the ability to "learn how to forget" escapes me. The song connects with what it means to be human at the most basic level : the battle to control our own damaging thoughts, memories and emotions." Not only are the lyrics powerful and universal, but the melody is one that you won't soon forget.

Today's Video Share: So Much More by Candice Russell

Candice Russell is a super-talented young pop singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Her music is positive, inspiring, singable and soul-filled. This video was produced in conjunction with the Oregon Make-A-Wish Foundation as the "wish" for a very sick little girl named "Blue". Blue, who has a neuro-muscular disorder, wished to star in a music video with her family and chose Candice's award-winning song "So Much More" as the vehicle. Blue's mom says music brings Blue joy, and the video will provide a lasting memory for the family.  I have to admit I was balling at the end when I saw the message "In Loving Memory of Blue's Guardian Angels" cross the screen. This will move you and remind you that life is a gift.

Jetty Rae boldly bears all her emotions in song and on screen and her fans love her for her vulnerability. As a mom, I could not help shedding a tear while watching this, yet I was left with a hopeful feeling after my catharsis.

Today's Video Share - Everything Woman by Kristin Chambers

"Everything Woman" is the title track from singer-songwriter Kristin Chambers' most recently released album (October 2014).   This is a perfect song for Valentine's Day because it focuses on the little things that make a woman special to a man and bind them together as soul mates. My favorite lyric - "She'll fill in the spaces of what the day erases."  The video follows several women with different styles and in different circumstances to show the universality of the lyrical theme.
